John FalstromMemberHello,
These are more complete lists for your drop down menu of press models owned for both the Potter and Golding lines.
The Potter proof presses came in No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 designations.
Here is a pretty complete Golding press model list:
Diamond
Pearl Old Style: No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, & No. 5
Pearl Improved: No. 8, No.11 & No. 14
Jobber: No. 6, No. 7, No. 8, No. 9, No. 12, & No. 13
Jobber Art Series: No. 18, No. 19, & No. 21
Official: Junior, No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 6, No. 7, & Rotary.
Official Map (Stationary Platen): No. 9, No. 12, & Imprinter.
Sincerely,
John Falstrom

Harold KyleMemberWe are currently working on an interface to allow users to add new presses to the current list. But in the meantime, go ahead and list them in this topic.
I’ve added the Goldings, John. Thanks for pointing this out.

John HenryMemberI would like to add my Kelsey 11×14 Union Rotary Job Press, and I suppose the Kelsey Star would be a good add to the listing.

Paul RitscherMemberI’m somewhat frustrated in that the sizes of presses listed are locked in and don’t represent the equipment I have. It would be nice if I could actually list the equipment without sizes being chosen for me. I also noticed that there are no listings for ancillary occupations, like wood-engraver, woodcuts, linocut, etching, stone litho, &c.
I think the press information in the press descriptions needs to be broadened as well, ie. Vandercook proof presses shouldn’t be lumped in with commercial cylinder presses.Paul Ritscher

Harold KyleMemberPaul, we should have the interface to add presses finished coding by the end of the week. But, unfortunately, we can’t roll this out until we clean up a lot of the existing data. It doesn’t take too much digging to find some rotten data in the list (for instance, the incomplete list of Albion presses or the lumping of some Wesel presses under the nonsensical manufacturer “Iron Handpress.” We need this cleaned up before people start adding their own alternate versions of these presses.
If anyone wants to help volunteer to clean up the list of presses, please contact me (harold at letterpresscommons.com) with your Google Account and I’ll share a Google Spreadsheet that temporarily contains this info while we clean it up. All this task requires is a knowledge of some press models, familiarity with spreadsheets, and attention to detail. Please let me know if you’re interested!

Matt McKenzieMemberI wonder if you would add these to your list of presses:
