How can new locations be added to the map? It would be great to have a submissions page for adding to the map. I know of several midwest locations that are not on the map that should be added.
Just my two cents.
Thanks,
Doug

That’s a good question, and would definitely help us fill the gaps on the map. We definitely need permission from the location prior to showing them on the map, so perhaps the best approach is to have a prominent “invite” button. This would send an email with an explanation and a link to set up an account.
I’ll see if we can whip one together prior to launch, so that it will have the biggest impact.

On a related note, a helpful feature on the Print/Trip map might be a key explaining what each of the icons means. I was able to figure it out after clicking through several of them, but an easy reference somewhere on the page would be nice. Also, having the ability to sort the map by what you’re specifically looking for (so only wholesalers show up, for example) would be pretty awesome – not sure what sort of flexibility you have with the coding in that regard.

I like the idea of the key/legend. Any ideas on where to place that or show that? They might take up a bit of space. You can also see the complete list inside your account when you add a location and then edit it’s Print/Trip settings. The select box at the top of that page shows all the different placeholder icons.
I have a task to add some more filters to the map, so more of these searches will be available soon. I’ll jam as many as I can into the “View Options” area.
We don’t really have technical limitations about what we can show–for it’s mostly a matter how we can make the page intuitive and not too cluttered. I’m open to recommendations on how to make the searching/filtering more helpful. I’ll try to get those additional searches up there shortly…

I think the key/legend could go on the map page, but not in the map itself. Could it just be a static part of the page, with the interactive map a separate element? I feel that would be easy to refer to without it getting in the way.
